Let's talk a moment about goals and why it's important to have them.
Have you ever heard the saying, "A goal without a plan is just a dream?" Well, no truer words have ever been spoken (okay, well, maybe they have, but this is still very, very true!)
I recently sat down with a mentor of mine to discuss just this - my goals. And, of course, the inevitable question comes up. . . "Laura, where do you want to be in 5 years?"
Does anyone else hate this question as much as me? I have no freaking clue. So, do you want to know how I answered?
"I want to be happy."
Yep, that was it. I want to be happy. And, I think that's an okay answer.
I've realized over my several years in my career that I am most happy when I am connecting with companies, associates, departments, strangers, etc. Just connecting the dots on the line to keep the energy flowing in the right direction. That's where I belong.
My 5 year goal is to connect and help as many people as I can.
What's your goal?
